So the final days of blogging

I have to say that I kinda liked blogging. I liked how we got to talk about certain topics, and then on some days we got to write about what we wanted too. There were some days that I didnt feel like writing because there was too much on my mind, but then there were other days when I could just write and write. I think that blogging definetly helped me connect to some people that I didn't think I could connect too. It had a good impact as an overall but I wouldnt want to continue blogging for the rest of the year.

My birthdayy! (:

So my birthday is tomorrow and I'm very excited because I'm going to be 18 (: ! I cant wait for this day to be over. I may seem really excited about my birthdayy but it doesnt seem like its tomorrow. Im really not sure what Im doing for it. I cant really hang out because my mom wants me to be home so that means I wont see Angee or Tiffy :( But I'll end up seeing them on monday.

I will finally be able to drive after nine and I cant wait cause then I dont have to be home at 9 on the weekends (: Im so ready for it to be tomorroww.

Even though I already have responded, I feel there is more for me to say. I dont think that the leaves should be banned or outlawed because it is a part of a religion, and an ancient tradition. You cant just tell someone to stop being catholic, or you cant just tell them to stop praying. If it is something that they have grown up with and come to know and love and do on a daily basis, then it shouldnt matter what it does. Someone who may not practice the same thing may not accept it, and thats fine, but as far as the leaves go, I do not think that it should be banned from the country.

Once again, back to what I wrote yesterday, its not easier for an outsider to accept a tradition that a group of people may have been practicing all their lives. But thats only what I think.

Response to the Coca Article

You can look at this topic in two ways. It could be possible to include people in a tradition because some people may be more open minded than others, and they may be willing to try new things. Even though some dont know the tradition in which one is practicing they may be curious and want to try it out to see if it is something that they would like to pursue. On the other hand, it might not be possible to include others in a tradition. Some may not except it and they may think that it is stupid, or weird. Others may look down upon someones tradition or they may not accept it.

There are two different ways to look at this article. I personally think that its hard to become well known with someone elses tradition because I may not have grown up with it so Im not familiar with it. But thats just me.

Seniors!

So since this is our last year, we get to choose superlatives. There are tons of different categories and so many people could fit certain ones. I still havent voted for them yet, and I dont know who to pick. I mean there are many people that I can think of that would fit the categories, but most people are just voting for their friends, or only the people that they talk too. I don't think that this vote should be based on popularity it should be based on who fits the description.

I still havent voted for them yet, and I dont know if Im going too. I feel like my vote wont really make a difference in the decsion of who gets what. But thats just my opinion.

Donating blood

So today at school there's a blood drive, and I was totally thinking about donating today but Im not so sure how that would turn out. Well, I couldnt have donated if I wanted to anyways because I just recentaly got my nose pierced, but other than that I think I would have fainted if I gave blood. I got really nervous just looking through the window of the gym because I say the needles, and the blood, and the bags, and ahh. I normally dont get like that because I get shots every week and I have12 piercings, but giving blood just scares me.

I think that its a good idea for people who can handle giving blood. They are giving someone else a chance of life, and they are making a difference. I wish I could be one of those people to do that, but Im just too chicken :(

Fridayyy

Today's fridayy, and I'm really excited for the weekend! My birthday is in exactly one week from today, and I'm gonna be 18, I can't wait. This weekend is going to be really funn. I don't have to work at all until Sunday, and I'm only working 2-6 which is good cause I hate working til close. But tomorrow is gonna be fun. My step mom is taking me shopping cause she wont be here on my birthday because shes taking my little brother to Florida. Then tomorrow night I'm going to The Cheesecake Factory. I'm mega excitedd cause they have amazing food. I don't really havee anything else to say otherr than Im excited for my birthdayy (:

response to the violence and women

The topic of violence among couples is constantly looked at and brought up in many different subjects. For example not only has it been brought in english class, its a main topic that health teachers dicuss with their students. I personally think that it is very sad for anyone to have to deal with and abusive relationship not only females. There are some relationships where the female may abuse the male. I think that the abuse on a partner has increased throughout the years because as the years have gone on the different generations dont know as much as the ones before them, and may think its okay to do something that the other generations may look down upon.

From what I have observed many females that are in abusive realtionships are scared to get out. They are scared to tell their partner about something, so they dont tell them and keep to themselves. They may be scared as to how someone would react to something even if it is the smallest thing, and so they stay with the person because they dont know what to do or how to get help.

These realtionships are very unhealthy and no one should have to deal with anything as painful and being abused, verbally or physically.

To execute or not response

I can't think of many situations where economics and values have collided, but I can tell you what I think about the death penalty and economics as a whole. I think that it is a waste of time and money to give someone the death penalty. If someone is sentenced to life in jail, they are going to end up dying either way, so I think that there should be no death penalty whatsoever, because they may have to wait to be killed, therefore prolonging their death sentence. I think that they should have to sit, think about what they did, and why they did it. They should have to suffer because of the dumb decision that they made instead of taking the easy way out. On the economics side of the spectrum, it is a lot cheaper to imprision someone for life instead of giving them the death penalty because then the government has to pay for something that someone else did.

where am i going?

I wouldn't say that I'm using my imagination, but I am going somewhere. I can't wait for Sprink Break because I'm gonna be in Florida for two weeks. I get to enjoy the nice, warm, sandy and sunny beaches of Orlando (: I'm super excited. Its not a very long blog, but at least its something.

I dont really have much to talk about todayy. I'm happy that its fridayy, I cant wait for the weekendd. I have practice tonight til five and then I'm going to my dads house. I'm excited that we are only practicing like once a week instead of almost everyday. We have a competition on March 29th. I'm not sure where it is though, but I'm excited to compete again, but I really wanna get my nails done, and I have to wait until cheerleading is offically overr. My birthday is in 21 days and I can't wait cause I'm gonna be 18 and I'm getting a tattoo. Well thats all I havee to say I guess. Oh and Happy Friday! and everyone have a good weekend! (:

Prom Dresses (:

So this is blog for my bestfriend cause she's special (: . Everyone wants a really cute dress or a really pretty gown that everyone looks at and envy's the person in it. It may be a little early to buy a prom dress, but when you really think about it prom is right around the corner, and it will be here before we know it. There's no need to stress about a dress, as long as you think the dress is pretty you shouldn't have to worry about what everyone else thinks. Make sure your dress fits you, and is exactly what you want.

So to my bestfriend (: i love you lots, and you will find a dress just take your time, and I'm sure you will look beautiful no matter what!

I think that it is way easier to read about something online than to open up a newspaper and read it. Yeah I can understand why a newspaper business may be a little upset with Journalists, but I do think that it is a good idea to post articles online whether than in the paper. Although Journalists are giving away their information for free online, they are making no profit, but it is better than having to pay for a newspaper everyday. For the people that don't recieve a newspaper everyday, it is easy for them to go online and read about the news, or something they feel is important. Using the internet as a source of news is a good idea because almost everyone has a computer or at least has access to one. Journalists may also find it easier to post something online rather than write it up in a newspaper because it may be easier on them, and they can do it as they please.

Haha wanna know whats crazy just as I was reading Evalyn's blog, Mr. Pittinaro was talking about Slumdog Millionaire. He was telling me about how that was such a great movie and how I should see it. Was it really that good?

Wanna know the coolest thing about the Oscars? The fact that Heath won an award for Best Supporting Actor. He played an amazing Joker and I think that he will be hard to replace in the next Batman movie. Although they may not replace him, but Johnny Depp is going to make a great Riddler. I can't wait for the second one to come out. Batman is my favorite superhero!

mhmm sundayy

Many of you may not be interested in this, but yesterday was the Sectionals Competition for your fellow SOTA cheerleaders. Almost every school within the county was there, even cheerleaders from Bativia, Geneva, and even Canidauga competed to see who would place in the top five slots of their class. Well after 3 competition the SOTA cheerleaders decided that they didn't want to compete yesterday, so Coach Robinson only took the five girls that really wanted to go. We called ourselves the Fab Five. At competition we had to come up with an entire cheer and a brand new routine, andd needless to say that we did pretty well for only having five girls. We lost 5th place by 2 points to Charlotte which wasn't all that bad considering that they had like twelve people and we only had five. I though we did pretty well for just learning everythingg and it showed me that we were a solid group and that no matter what we did our bestt (:

On another note the girls basketball team has a game tonight at 6pm and East High School so come out and support our school (:
